Filmed throughout 2024 at key events – including our fundraising weekend in Wales, the EnduroGP of Wales, and the ISDE itself in Spain – the documentary offers an unprecedented behind-the-scenes look at the people and passion behind Britain’s national enduro team. The film follows top British riders like nine-time world champion Steve Holcombe, Harry Edmondson, Max Ingham, and Team Manager Jamie Lewis, charting their unique journeys to one of the world’s most gruelling motorsport events.

NOCO produced a similar film in 2023 with USA team riders that reached over 20 million views across film and related content. With this new UK-focused film, they aim to surpass that number – making it a major moment for visibility and engagement in offroad sport in Britain.

Synopsis

“The Journey is Ours” chronicles the path of Team GB to the 2024 NOCO FIM International Six Days of Enduro, a legendary off-road dirt bike race. The documentary provides an intimate and powerful glimpse into the world of off-road motorcycle racing, spotlighting a core group of Team GB athletes including nine-time world champion Steve Holcombe, young talent Max Ingham, rising star Harry Edmondson, and Team Manager Jamie Lewis. It also shines a spotlight on the often-overlooked contributions of grassroots competitors, featuring Southern MCC’s Alistair Heginbotham, and celebrating the depth and diversity within the enduro community. Experience the beauty of 6DAYS through the riders themselves as they battle through this incredible competition together through thick and thin, until they have finished the race set before them - The Journey is Ours.

About The Filmmakers

Parker Donaldson (producer/director/editor) is a die-hard motorsports enthusiast and when presented with the opportunity to work on such a legendary event, there was no hesitation “I have been dreaming of a project like this since I was 11 years old.” With a successful racing career in the Baja 1000 himself, Parker was thrilled to bring his passion for filmmaking and motorsports together in this project.

Silas Kyler (producer/director) has a love of telling stories of the human experience, especially ones that involve passionate individuals pushing themselves for something greater. “The opportunity to tell stories like this as part of an international brand is special. I hope this project brings a greater appreciation for these incredible riders and their resilience and determination, as well as the sport of off-road enduro motorcycle racing.” When not producing documentaries, Silas is either hard at work making all things NOCO or tinkering in his workshop.

ISDE Team GB is the official British team competing in the prestigious International Six Days Enduro (ISDE), one of the toughest and most demanding events in the world of off-road racing. Representing Great Britain, the team consists of top-level riders, including multiple-time world champions, across various categories. Notably, both the Men’s and Women’s Trophy Teams clinched victory in the 2022 ISDE in France, marking a historic moment in British enduro racing. The team is run completely by a dedicated group of volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes to support the riders and ensure the success of Team GB at each ISDE event.

Jamie Lewis @jamielewis_18

Jamie Lewis, 36, from the Rhondda in South Wales, is a former motocross rider who switched to enduro in 2011 and quickly became a respected competitor. He has raced in both the European and World Enduro Championships and competed in the ISDE five times—representing Wales twice and Great Britain three times. As Team Manager of ISDE Team GB from 2023 to 2024, Jamie guided the Men’s Trophy Team to a podium finish in Argentina and oversaw Steve Holcombe’s E2 class victory in Spain.

Steve Holcombe @steve_holcombe

Steve Holcombe is one of the most successful enduro riders of his generation, with nine FIM World Enduro Championship titles to his name, making him the third most decorated enduro rider of all time. Known for his smooth riding style and technical precision, he has dominated multiple classes in his career, cementing his status as a world-class competitor. A key member of the Great Britain Men’s Trophy Team, Steve played a vital role in their historic victory at the 2022 ISDE in France. In 2024, he further showcased his dominance by winning the E2 class overall at the ISDE in Spain. Now racing for Honda Racing RedMoto Enduro Team, he continues to push for more success on the international stage, proving himself as one of the sport’s most elite riders.

Max Ingham @max_ingham

Max Ingham is an exciting young enduro rider with a diverse racing background. Before focusing on enduro, Max gained valuable experience in motocross and British Supersport, where he demonstrated his versatility and skill across different disciplines. In 2023, Max represented Great Britain for the first time at the ISDE in Argentina, finishing as one of the top junior riders, but suffered an ACL injury on the final day which sidelined him for most of 2024. However, he made an impressive comeback to race the 2024 ISDE in Spain, securing a top-50 overall finish at the event.

Harry Edmondson @harryeddy9

Harry Edmondson is one of Britain’s brightest young enduro talents, making his mark on the world stage. In 2022, he was crowned FIM Enduro Youth World Champion, proving his skill and determination against the sport’s top up-and-coming riders. While enduro runs in his blood - his father is off-road legend Paul Edmondson - Harry has carved out his own path with impressive performances in both national and world championship competition and currently contests the Junior class in EnduroGP.

Alister Heginbotham @alheginbotham

A longtime Isle of Man resident, Al has had a lifelong relationship with dirtbikes. Over the years he’s found himself drawn back to the sport time and again. In the film, he finds himself in his 50s, preparing for the first time in his life to ride the most difficult race possible with his club, the Southern Motorcycle Club. He proudly represents the true spirit of a 6DAYS club rider. Al continues to push the limits as an amateur dirt bike rider at a high level, racing in the British Enduro Championship and becoming the over 50s British Champion in 2024. His motto throughout life, “Dig Deep,” is shown in many ways throughout the film.
