The first outing for 2025 saw the NLR team travel to Mallory Park on this cold and damp February day. With almost 40 riders carefully navigating their way around the 1.35 mile circuit in the picturesque Leicestershire countryside, everyone of them performed amazingly and we are delighted to report a 100% of those riders passed with flying colours.
With 3 groups throughout the day, eagerly awaiting their time on track to prove their skills, our coaches were on hand to brief, guide and assess the applicants to the successful resolution of a passing grade to obtain their first, or for some to renew after some time away, their ACU Road Race Licence.
Both the CTC and BRA courses offered the riders an insight into safety, flag conditions, start procedures and much more to make sure that the next generation of licence holders are safe, competent and ready to make a break for it and have the best fighting chance to try to get their hands on some silverware.
Whilst the track activities were taking place, some budding new and some not so new marshals were being shown the art of flag waving, incident handling and much more to make sure our riders are safe and well looked after should they decide to pay them a visit. The one day course was well attended with over 35 people dedicating their time and efforts to make sure they are up to date with all the latest protocols and procedures to make sure they are safe as a marshal and you as a rider.
