The ACU, along with promoter Octane Junkies and Luton & District Motorcycle club will join forces once again to host the ACU British Vet Motocross Championships in 2025 at the natural hillside Toddington MX track near Luton.

This “Vet” friendly event has continued to grow since its inception in 2023 with 360 riders entering the 2024 event. This year's event is set to grow further as the successful ACU Evo and Super Evo championships will be running rounds 1 & 2 of their Championship alongside the British Vets event at Toddington with the concluding rounds 3 & 4 being hosted at the hugely successful 2 Stroke festival event in August at Sellinge. This collaboration opens up even more classes for riders to enjoy at Toddington this June and also enhances the ACU British EVO / Super Evo championships by increasing the rounds from 2 to 4 rounds.

The ACU British Vet Championships gives older motocross riders the opportunity to race at an official ACU British Championship race meeting with the fastest riders having the chance to compete for an Official ACU British title. The event will take place on 14th and 15th June 2025 at Luton and Districts home track Toddington. The natural hillside track which is located just off Junction 12 of the M1, provides an “old school” challenge that is enjoyable for riders of all ages and all skills. There are a variety of skill-based classes for +30, +40, +50 and plus 60 competitors ensuring that riders get to race with people who are of similar speed and age to themselves, making the racing closer and more enjoyable for all. Eg If you are Over 50 you can either enter the Championship Class, the Intermediate Class or the Novice Class depending on your skill level.

What is it?

A 2-day festival of racing dedicated to veteran (vet) riders of all ages and skill levels. There is a wide range of age based and skill-based race classes to choose from with the bragging rights of being an ACU British Champion up for grabs for the best of the best in each age group.

All elements of the event are designed to suit vet racers, from the track choice and preparation to the off track entertainment. The focus is on making the most enjoyable and memorable event possible for the vet racers and their families that attend.

Who is it for?

This race meeting is for anyone over the age of 25 who can race a motocross bike. There are various race classes based on age and skill level. Each race class will get its own race and classification. This ensures you are racing against people of a similar age and skill level to yourself, which makes the racing more enjoyable for everyone.

The organisers want to encourage all vet DirtBike riders to come and have a go, so whether you are an expert level racer at the top of your game or someone that hasn't raced for 20 years then we have a race class suited to you.

The track

With this being a race meeting for Vet riders of all skill levels we wanted to make sure that the track we selected would be enjoyable, challenging, and safe for all of our racers. We also wanted to have this meeting as centrally located as possible to make it easily accessible for as many riders as possible. Toddington Motocross track is a traditional motocross track on the side of a hill next to the J12 of the M1.

The track is the home venue for the Luton and District Motorcycle club and has been in existence for around 20 years. The fast-flowing natural track has a combination of hill sections, fun but safe jumps and has a long lap which make it an ideal track for the British Vet Championships.

As with our previous events the track will be well prepared, watered and groomed before and during each day's racing to make sure it is always in an enjoyable condition to race on.
