Michelin go big for 2025 DL12 Indoor Trial

Michelin has confirmed its support for the DL12 Indoor Trial for the third consecutive year and to mark the occasion the tyre giant is giving fans the chance to win a set of its Trial tyres along with a Michelin prize package plus a pair of DL12 tickets with Prime Upgrades worth over £650.

In its role as exclusive tyre provider for the DL12 Indoor Trial V3.0 at Sheffield’s Utilita Arena on Saturday 18th January 2025, Michelin will be providing more than just its market-leading Trial tyres with a race constructed around its super-sized XTRA DEFEND product designed for mammoth earth-moving machinery.

While this is great news for fans who for the previous two editions have been thrilled by the spectacle of the world’s best riders launching themselves at these colossal tyres measuring almost two metres tall, it is not maybe such good news for the riders who in the past have tackled the imposing obstacles with varying degrees of success.

With a history that pre-dates the invention of the motorcycle by over half-a-decade, Michelin can rightly claim to have been helping riders find grip from the get-go and the French company created the world’s first modern tyre in 1891. Other major innovations include the radial tyre and Michelin’s pioneering work into research and development also resulted in the world’s first ‘green’ tyre at a time when environmental impact was not a global concern.

Of course, competition motorcycling is all about the results and even before the start of a hugely-successful 2024 season with Toni Bou at the helm, Michelin’s combined total of FIM Trial World Championship titles – indoors and outside – stood at an incredible sixty-five.

With the full rider line-up now confirmed, tickets for the DL12 Indoor Trial V3.0 on Saturday 18th January 2025 at the Utilita Arena, Sheffield, are selling fast. To make sure you don’t miss out on the final coming – click here now.
