Alice Minta riding her Nigel Birket Scorpa UK sponsored bike won her second ACU Ladies Trials Championship sponsored by Belle Trailers, at the weekend at round 10 which was well organised by the Scunthorpe MCC. Kev Witting and his team had set a very good trial consisting of rocky banks with some arena sections thrown in at Hooten Lodge Trials Park Doncaster.
Minta lost a total of three all day, with Alicia Robinson Beta UK in runner up birth on 12 marks lost. Making a welcome return Donna Fox Montesa was third on 31 marks.
IOMs Kaytlyn Adshead TRS was taken ill and had to retire. Kaytlyn had recently returned from a European trip feeling unwell.
Nicki Louise Scunthorpe Club won the Ladies Inters on 35 marks, followed by Ruby McCubbin IOM on 47 with Lauren Taylor Scarborough Club on 60.
Girls B and Ireland’s Sophie Furguson Beta continued her winning ways loosing 35 the same as the Ladies Inter winner. Daisy Craig was next on 80marks with Lauren Taylor Scarborough on 114.
The Girls C class winner was Scarlett Collins trials Training Club Wales on just 6 marks followed by Jodie Cummins Scunthorpe MCC on 14 with Lilly Wright Kent Youth on 18.
Harper Oliver llanfyllin MCC was best of the D class on just 3 marks lost, Allessandra Beaumont was on 12 and Cloe Charlton on 14.
The competitors then travelled south to Derbyshire to ride the final round of the series: hosted by the Mansfield Maun MCC at the famous Bracken Rocks venue.
Four laps were contested over a rocky course. Alice Minta continued her winning ways losing a total of 13 marks with Alicia Robinson on 24.
Nicky Louis took the inters on 55 with Carie Dickenson close on 57.
Daisy Craig led the B class on 63 followed by Lilly Butterworth and Daisy Mai Mitchell.
Girls D went to Chloe Charlton on 37 with Harper Oliver on 45.
2024 was a very good series with a good variety of venues with consistent entry levels throughout.
