Defending Victory for Team JMR101/Lexa MX

The big names keep on rolling into the biggest and undisputed best vets motocross event in the world - VMXdN Foxhill powered by John Banks, which is held for four days over the August bank holiday weekend (22^nd-25^th) 2024, at the iconic Foxhill Grand Prix venue in Wiltshire.

It’s not only the VMXdN class that is stacked with legends and talent, the Wright Engineering National Team Race gives our home grown talent an opportunity to ride in front of a packed amphitheatre on 21 year old 2 strokes, with all of the fans cheering, the air horns blaring, and flags waving, it makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end just thinking about it.

After taking the overall victory in 2023 in the Wright Engineering Team Race with Sam Nunn, Tom Grimshaw and Liam Garland on board, this year sees two rider changes and a change in the team’s name. 

The defending champions from 2023 will be back and re-formed for 2024 and is now called team JMR101/Lexa MX. 

With both Sam and Tom moving onto new teams for 2024 it left team manager Dave Garland with some riders to find. 

So, who better to bring on board than Steven Clarke and John Adamson to join Liam Garland in what looks like a very strong team running the 1, 2, 3 plates this year. 

The team this year will be managed by both Dave and Kris Paberz (team manager of the Lexa race team) working out of the impressive Lexa team truck.

This is one team who will be sure to be at the sharp end of the competition. The Wright Engineering class has quickly become a showcase of the cream of British MX talent, who can put their race craft on display to the largest British MX event crowd and industry turn out on the calendar.

The four-day family MX festival celebrates everything that is great and good in the vets and evo two-stroke motocross world, with not only the world’s best riders on track battling for their country's honours on 21 year old factory level build bikes,  but also with legends of the sport on site to hang out, catch a photo or grab a cold beer with.

The Show’N’Shine bike show held on Friday (23^rd) is a big hit and massively subscribed, the machines on show are nothing short of spectacular and for 2024 with The Range/Wilko on board as sponsor as well as sponsorship for this highlight from Motoverde, the prizes will be huge. Then the nightly evening shows with live podcasts from the Torq Moto guys Jeffro and DocWob in conjunction with Pulp MX's Steve Matthes, rider interviews as well as a DJ to give the crowds something to dance into the night.

The inaugural 2022 event was an instant hit becoming the biggest and best vets motocross event in the world and one of the highlights of the British MX calendar, the 2023 event was even bigger - getting an entry is near impossible and the spectator tickets and camping slots for the hugely anticipated 2024 event are headed the same way.

With more legends and attractions being announced almost daily it is most certainly one not to be missed- and all for £16 a day for an adult ticket (weekend pass price), it seems almost too good to be true.

With ticket sales massively up on the 2022 and 2023 numbers to date, they strongly recommend getting your camping and tickets booked, they are anticipating that this will become a ticket only event, which is a first for an outdoor race, but the simple fact is, they are well on target for the event to be sold out.
