The championship moved on from Oulton Park to Cadwell Park and back to the normal 2 day format with qualifying being the first outing for the 2 stokes with a dry track after an early shower.
Jim Hind came into this round leading the championship with last years champion Bobby Varey trailing after a DNF in the 2ND race at Oulton, Varey looking determined to make up some points setting the pace in qualifying for a pole lap of 1:36:199 from Hind at 1:37:104 Mike Smith next up with 1:40:443, Sean Morrison was the leading Cup bike in 5th 1:41:686 , George Bedford was the top 125 almost into the top 10 at 1:44:272, 11th on the grid.
RACE: 1 Varey made the start with Hind in tow, Chris Moore , Simon Hunt and Sean Morrison not too far adrift but this was short lived as Varey retired after 1 lap handing the race to Hind who pulled out a comfortable lead from Smith with laps close to his qualifying times in the 1:37second zone ending up with a 13:8 second winning margin from Smith and Hunt, George Bedford continued his good form and was top 125 in 10 overall from series leader Mac Parsons in 2nd , 17th overall Sian Brooks 3rd
RACE 2: Hind on pole and this seemed to be the Jim Hind that was going to take the fight to Varey after the total dominance from 2023, from the lights Hind led the pack away with Varey in tow, Smith, Moore and Hunt the supporting cast, the expected challenge from Varey never really materialised as Hind pulled away and Varey had to settle for 2nd from Smith, Moore and Hunt, Morrison again the top cup bike in 6th , Bedford top 125 in 12th Parsons 2nd ,Brooks 3rd .
RACE 3: Hind and Varey on the front row this time Varey took the lead and started to put space between himself and Hind, ever present Smith with yet another great view of the leaders and Gavin Mills getting the 250 Honda buzzing again in the leading pack of Moore, Hunt and finding his lost form ( his words) Nick Sansome. Then it all came undone as Varey lost the bike at the Gooseneck handing another win to Hind and 25 championship points, Smith was 2nd again from Mills 3rd, top cup machine was Morrison , Bedford completing a trio of wins in the125’s Parsons just 2nd from Brooks.
