We are delighted to welcome everyone here to Oulton Park, and to the start of the 2024 Season.
As a small independent ACU club, FPR would like to thank NG Road Racing, for inviting us, once again, to be a part of their race programme, for what will be our ninth year as a guest club with them.
2023 saw us have some fantastic racing across all our classes, with championships decided at the last round, some in the very last race! So, we are looking forward to picking up where we left off and having a great 2024!
We will once again be running the FPR Bandit Challenge. This is a race you won’t want to miss! A 600cc Bandit production series, making for a level playing field and it always produces some exciting racing!
We also have our FPR Classic Superbikes. This category is split into three classes, FP1 – pre-85’ up to 1300cc. FP2 – ‘Battle of The Twins’ pre 2008 twin cylinder machines from 725 – 1000cc. And FP3 – pre-98’ 750 four cylinders, recreating Classic Superbike racing from its heyday!
We also have the FPR GP1 – Prototype single cylinder machines up to 800cc. Formerly known as supermono.
This year, once again we have all the FP classes together on the same grid, which should, once again make for some very interesting and exciting racing.
New for 2024 is our FP3 Evo class. This is for 750 - 1000cc machines produced before 2008. The bikes of this era were fast and competitive, before the days of electronics aids, but have been somewhat overlooked in recent years, so here is a class just for them! We look forward to some very exciting racing from this series as it grows throughout the season.
FPR would like to thank all the NG Road Racing staff, marshals, and medical team, for all their hard work and wish everyone a great and safe weekend’s racing!
