The 2023 H & N Supplies Ltd. FGA championship moves to a new track on Saturday when the Association heads to Arscott near Shrewsbury, Shropshire for round 8. The meeting will also honour former Minsterley stalwarts John Broadhurst and Geoff Adams by holding their memorial finals at the end of the day.
Lilly Bence heads the E-Bike line up after winning the ACU Gold cup 3 weeks ago and will be joined by the hard charging Dalton Wright and Kobi Gutteridge.
Dakota Wright looks to take advantage of the missing Alfie Shipp and will hope to add another 25 points to his championship tally. Charlie Dowd and Lucas Astley will continue their season long battle for 3rd place, the pair are currently separated by 2 points with 3 rounds to go. Kaylem Bourne continues his improvement in his first year of Grasstrack too.
Chloe Davis and AJ Bence are both entered in the cadets and will be mixed with the cub category which is somewhat depleted without the flying Finley Theobald who is currently leading the championship. Jessica Cox and Logan Price are the 2 cub riders.
Ollie Binns makes a welcome return to the Junior class after being absent since round 4. The Multi FGA youth champion will be favourite but will have to do battle against current championship leader and 2022 champion Joe Crewe and brother Jack. Max Derrick will be hoping his recent form and 250cc competition will keep him at the front. Isaac Collins-Bullock and Chrly Arthur both continue the seasons of improvement.
An entry of 22 seniors sees Champion Wayne Broadhurst heading a strong field of competition with young chargers Sam Hall and Max Broadhurst both threatening for podiums. But experience currently outweighs youth in the class, Graham Thomas fresh off the back of his 6th place in the 250cc British championships will be keen to continue his strong form whilst brother Phillip is also entered and will be looking for big points at his home venue.
Kevin Gwillam and Adam Hawker make the trip up to Shropshire once again. Gwillam is Mr consistent and will be aiming to rack up some more big points whilst Hawker is certainly getting to grips with the small 125cc motors. Local brothers Anthony and Andrew Rowson make the short trip to hopefully have a strong day on track after both making the B final at Hampton Hall.
Practice will take plae at 12pm with racing set to commence at 1pm. The venue will be sign posted off the A488 between Shrewsbury and Pontesbury. Free admission to spectators.
