Great Britain’s Oliver Bovingdon competed in the inaugural SGP4 competition in Malilla, Sweden on Saturday – and enjoyed a fantastic experience riding the newly designed 190cc motorcycles.
He managed to score in all five of his heats, ending up with a creditable six points and finished in 10th place.
Denmark Elias Jamil won the title with a 15-point maximum, becoming the first ever winner of an event aimed at the sport’s newest riders aged between 11 and 13.
Bovingdon now heads to Poland to compete in both the European and FIM Youth 125cc Gold Trophy, along with fellow British Youth riders Stene Pijper and Seth Norman in Gdansk next weekend.
