er is set to make his debut on the Colas Billown Course at this year’s Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Southern 100 Road Races.
The seven-time TT Winner will be showcasing the magnificent sounding Honda RC213V-S MotoGP machine with some high-speed laps around the 4.25-mile southside course during Wednesday evening and Championship Day, Thursday 13th July.
Riding under the Batham’s Ales colours, Michael brought the Honda home to ninth place in the recent Superbike TT with an average speed of 126.492mph over the six-lap 226.38-mile race.
Whilst he was forced to retire during the fifth lap of six in the blue-riband Senior TT, Michael was lying in tenth place at the end of the fourth lap, having set his fastest lap during the second lap at 129.509mph.
Race promoters, Southern 100 Racing are extremely grateful to Michel Rutter for offering to bring the Honda RCV213-V-S to this year’s races and hope he enjoys the experience of the ‘friendly races’ as much as the fans will enjoy the sound of this unique racing machine.
