TALON ACU TRIAL GB RETURNS ON SUNDAY
For Trials fans the only place to be this weekend is at Inch
Perfect in Lancashire as the series reaches the halfway point after a seven
week break. A new venue to the series, situated in the rolling hills near Clitheroe,
the battle will resume with no less than five classes all competing for title
points.
As normal, the Trial Expert class makes up the bulk of the
entry - fifty per cent in fact - and they will be the first to tackle the three
laps of twelve sections around the magnificent facility at Inch Perfect Trials.
Riding the same route through the sections, the Trial 125 class will follow
along with the Trial Electric class in their second of five rounds planned for
the season.
French Electric Motion rider Gael Chatagno (pictured)
returns to promote the brand in the Trial 2 class, having won the opening round
back in March, but he will have stiff opposition from fourteen other riders who
are all capable of podium places on the day.
With the exception of current Champion Toby Martyn, all the
remaining riders in the elite Trial GB class have just returned from strong
performances in the Japanese Grand Prix and will be looking for big points
in Sunday's five hour, twenty minute
encounter. Martyn is rumoured to be back on a bike and may well be a starter
this weekend.
The sections offer easy access to spectators via a specially
constructed trail around the area and the 9.30am start will be signposted from
Whitewell and Dunsop Bridge.
