The TRS Sidecar Trials British Championship will have a new, innovative entry in the expert class this season. The Franks brothers will be riding an electric powered outfit built by specialist vehicle development company, Prosportif Ltd and supported by Inch Perfect Trials.
It uses Electric Motion technology with bespoke chassis and suspension. The bike has been in development over the past 12 months, ‘It was quickly evident that electric power had potential for our sport.’ said rider Neil Franks. ‘We have made some big steps forward during development with power delivery characteristics and suspension set up. But the biggest challenge for Mike and I during testing was jumping between our existing combustion powered bike and the new bike, a different approach was required, but we believe it has great potential’.
The new bike utilises the new regulations for 2023, with no nose cone the bike looks fit for the 21st century, and with the age limit for passengers dropped to 12 it’s hoped that the younger generation will be attracted into the sport.
2023 TRS Sidecar Trials British championship starts March 5th with the Normandy club run Ray Thomas trial at Dunsfold in Sussex, GU8 4NR
