Great Britain retains their Women’s and World Trophy leads on Fast Eddy ISDE Day Five

Great Britain retain their Women’s and World Trophy leads while the Juniors lie in fourth, keen to move up into that podium spot!

Day 5 marked the end of the enduro tests and leaves only the final motocross test to go today. The Trophy team remains in the lead by 4 minutes 22 seconds! The Women are also in the lead by a HUGE 13 minutes 58 seconds! The Juniors remain in fourth place but it is all to play for in the MX test.

For the Women’s and Trophy teams, the main aim of Day 5 was to finish in one piece, it was not the time to be taking risks and pushing too hard.

Test 1 and 5 were the same on Day 5 and it was a technical, wooded test. An issue with Jed’s transponder meant that his time did not register for Test 1 and he gave everyone that was not at the test a fright! However,

Test 2 was a stubble field with some woods and saw Alex Walton put in his best time of the day to finish 15th in the Junior class. This was Rosie’s best test of the day as she finished 6th.

Test 3 was a grassy field and stubble field test and was a great test for the Women’s team who finished 1st, 7th and 9th (Jane, Nieve, Rosie)!

Test 4 was very similar, a stubble field with woods but it was quite loose and rocky, and very dusty despite the earlier rain! Steve had his best test of the day finishing 2nd, as did Harry Edmondson who finished 11th in Juniors!

Test 5 was Test 1 repeated and was Nathan’s best test of the day where he finished 3rd, and Jamie had his best finish in 13th.

It is so close now. Two teams on the brink of victory- just one more day.
