World number three and potential future World Champion Jaime Busto will join Toni Bou and Adam Raga at the Utilita Arena Sheffield on Saturday 7th January 2023 for the first running of the DL12 Indoor Trial. The signing and addition of the twenty-four-year-old reigning Spanish national champion and recent TrialGP winner along with his compatriots means that the current top three riders in the World are all confirmed to appear in Yorkshire early next year.
There is no doubt that Busto is one of the most talented riders on the planet and only needs to add more consistency to his performances before he will be seriously challenging for a senior World title to add to the Junior gold medal, he took in 2014. Having worked closely with Jaime over the last few seasons Dougie Lampkin is only too aware of what Busto is capable of on his day: “Sometimes when you watch him in practice the things Jaime does are simply unbelievable, and I am not sure that any rider could match. If he brings his A game to Yorkshire next January, he can definitely be in with a good chance of taking the win.”
Speaking about his pending visit to the UK Busto said. “I am very happy to be coming to ride at Dougie’s event, he has a lot of experience to make sections that will really test me and the other riders. I hope I can put on a good show and be the first rider to put my name on the new trophy.”
