Four Auto Cycle Union (ACU) sanctioned British motocross champions will be crowned when the Apico 2-Stroke Festival, featuring the Red Bull Pro Stroke National, gets underway over the weekend of the 20th and 21st of August.
The two-day event at Sellindge, Kent, is created by riders for riders and, although the British titles, namely British 125 2-Stroke, British Open 2-Stroke, British Evo 2-Stroke and British Super Evo 2-Stroke are serious championships, the Festival as a whole reflects the fun and diversity of the UK motocross scene. What’s more, a little-known fact is that a 15-year-old rider can take out a day licence and compete in the British 125s – it will not affect any other championship they contest. With the Youth 125 class almost full, this enables youth riders to compete on a 125, but in the Adult class.
The classes will cater for all abilities of rider and a £4000 prize pot will be distributed across eight groups and paid down to sixth place. There are plenty of must-have top-brand spot prizes on offer too, which will reward competitors who enter before the 12
th of August, and again throughout the Saturday and Sunday race sessions.

Looking ahead to the fifth edition of the Apico 2-Stroke Festival, event promoter Dave Willet said; “As a rider, I appreciate that sometimes it can be daunting when you look at an event’s list of classes and see several British titles in the mix. While we are running ACU British championships, we don’t want riders to be put off and think the event’s not suitable for them. We truly cater for all abilities and take pride in the fact that a good deal of old-fashioned fun will be involved. There’ll be prize money and products for all levels of rider. Whether they’re out front, in the middle, or towards the back, it is our intention to reward as many as possible.
“Also, as previously announced, all riders entering before the 12
th of August will have the chance to win a high-value product from our title partner Apico. There’s an Arai MXV helmet, Forma boots and Apico hard part goodies in the pot, and they will be handed out at the Festival.”
