The Apico 2-Stroke Festival, featuring the Red Bull Pro Stroke National, has confirmed a substantial rider support package that will reward competitors across all categories.
The increasingly-popular stand-alone rider-event will be held over the weekend of the 20
th and 21
st of August 2022 at Sellindge, Kent. It has already attracted a strong entry throughout the groups. In particular the Red Bull Noughties, Over 40s and Youth sectors are almost full.
The Apico Youth groups are supported by leading race kit and rider safety brand Leatt. The product prize fund of £5000 will be shared between two riders from the 85cc and 125cc classes. The lucky recipients of this considerable reward will not necessarily be the ones who win on the track, but upcoming riders who the judges believe best represent UK youth motocross.
To encourage riders to get sorted and booked in early, title partner Apico is awarding spot prizes to anyone entering before the 12
th of August with the prizes handed out at the event. This pot of incredible goodies will have a retail value of almost £2000.00 and will include the latest Arai MXV worth £549.99. There are some Forma Predator or Pilot Boots, subject to fitment and sizes, and some Apico hard parts like the bling pack, holeshot device, brake pedal, gear pedal, footpegs, flexi levers and the like.
Elsewhere, other brands supporting the annual off-road bike fest with rider packages include Emeks, who will provide three full kits and gloves or, if preferred, a day videoing the selected riders and providing two one-minute reels for their social media. Ryno Power will spotlight a specific class and give podium goodie bags in addition to offering a Ryno Power Sponsorship programme for the year to the winner of a class – to be determined closer to the event. TRAK will have a display stand showing the Red Bull SPECT goggles and will support a rider with this product while also offering a knee and wrist brace fitting service for Mobius. Moto Verde has also pledged to offer a rider support package with its salt-free cleaners for bikes and other vehicles. And, if that’s not enough, Zeroninemx will be supplying the event trophies and attendance plaques.
Commenting on the massively-increased brand support for this year’s Apico 2-Stroke Festival, event promoter Dave Willet said; “We’re blown away by the amount of support already confirmed for this year’s Festival and there’s more to come. Also, the Red Bull Pro Stroke National already has an exciting commitment from top class riders and the prize fund is going to be pretty special – watch this space.
“While the winners will always be rewarded, we want to be about more than that, which is why we, and our partners, feel it’s important to award spot prizes across the full breadth of classes. Although it’s my passion, we view the event to be more than 2/stroke-only. We have loads of incentives which we want to help us evolve, give back to the riders and draw in outside interest.”
