Alongside the recent European FIM Championships Round at Santa Pod there were two demo bikes with different power supply, one electric, the other hydrogen peroxide powered rocket bike. Both were attempting new track and world records.
Hans-Henrik Thomsen was going for the outright speed record for an electric powered wheel machine (car and bike). Having increased the Battery voltage from 350v to 400v he set new ET and Speed records of 6.619-206.24mph to become the world’s quickest and fastest electric powered machine over the quarter mile track. Thomsen also set a new 1/8mile world record of 4.295.
Eric Teboul has said 2022 will be his last season riding his Rocket bike and wants to be his world record of 5.12 he set at Bradenton in the USA. His Santa Pod record is 5.19 and over the weekend he set a new track record of 5.175-253.27.
