Wednesday 29th June will see the return of Diss MCC’s very popular evening motocross race meeting at the very picturesque village venue of Wattisfield Hall in Suffolk. The event always attracts a large crowd as it consists of short sharp all action races. Sponsored by GH Motorcycles and GB Finch, there is a full entry of 132 riders to put on a 10-race programme with practice starting at 5pm and the first race commencing at 6pm.
The entry includes 20 expert riders and one of the favourites must be 2019 winner, Luke Benstead on a GH Motorcycles Husky. Other top riders include Tom Grimshaw, Chambers Racing Gas Gas who got a fantastic 5th overall in MX2 Class at the recent Blaxhall British Championship round, Lewis Tombs who is the current leader of the ACU Eastern Championship on a Yamaha, Luke Parker who is second in the ACU Eastern Championship on a Matt Pope Gas Gas, and Shaun Southgate on Herts MX Honda.
Other top runners battling it out for the £1,000 prize money on the night include No 499 Ben Cole on a GH Motorcycles Husqvarna, Sam Nunn on Yamaha 250 and Declan Whittle on a Lings 450 Husqvarna. Whilst a lot of the top MX riders also ride enduros in the Eastern centre, they are joined by some top centre enduro specialist riders like Jamie Roper on a Jim Aim, Gas Gas, and Diss MCC’s Ross Taylor on a Ridge Racing, SD Home and Gardens 250 Yamaha. Ross should be well fit for the meeting as he is just returning from riding a 200 mile course on the Welsh Two-day enduro.
The track is looking in great condition following levelling and cultivating but just needs a bit watering to keep the dust down if this hot weather continues.
Look forward to seeing you on the night and important to get there early for parking and not to miss the action.
Admittance £10.00 adult, £5.00 AOP and unaccompanied children. Accompanied children free.
Riders please note no overnight camping for this event. Pit gate opens at 14.00.
