Fresh from his recent and record extending thirteenth Scottish Six Days Trial win, twelve times FIM Trial World Champion and legend of the sport Dougie Lampkin is pleased to announce that he will be running his own DL12 Indoor Trial on Saturday 7th January 2023. Having already engaged with the biggest names in the sport, Lampkin has promised that apart from still inviting the World’s top riders, he will deliver a completely new event under his control.
“It’s time for a change,” enthused Dougie “I am happy to say that work is already underway to create six sections using fresh materials plus two new races and subject to final sign off – an elevated new part of the course that has never been done in the UK before.”
True to his roots, the event will be run in Yorkshire and at an arena known well to Trial fans, but the new course layout will mean that seating will be limited to just over four thousand seats, which is sure to make the first edition of this new event a total sell out.
“The ‘steel hall’ configuration as they refer to it at Sheffield arena will bring the fans closer to the action and create a really intense atmosphere, this plus new lighting, new commentators, new format and some other new ideas, which will be revealed in the coming months, will create an event on a whole new level.” Lampkin proudly confirmed.
Looking to give fans an enhanced experience, in addition to the standard tickets, visitors will have the chance to also buy premium passes – gold / silver / bronze - that will offer a range of added value opportunities. Tickets and passes will all have limited availability and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Standard tickets will be available priced at £39.95 for adults and £29.95 for U14s. Premium pass details will be confirmed in due course.
By registering at www.dl12indoortrial.co.uk visitors will be able to buy pre-sale tickets / premium passes from 29th June and prior to the remaining tickets / premium passes going on general sale on 1st July 2022.
Dougie ended by saying. “Having ridden in and attended many indoor events all over the World, during the last twenty-five years, it has long been a dream of mine to run my own event and to put it right up there with the very best of them. Next January I will have the chance to do exactly that.”
