The second round of the championship at Brands Hatch saw a return of former National 250cc champion Jim Hind on his T Z 250cc Yamaha and during qualifying set the fastest time and started his first race from pole position. Thomas Lawlor started from second on his GTL Life and Pensions backed TZ 250 Yamaha with Bruce Dunn in third. Fifth fastest overall went to Sean Morrison who was fastest N G Cup rider with James Seath in second in the N G Cup class both on R S 250cc Honda's. After crashing out of the first round at Oulton Park Travis Vince was third in the N G Cup class on his T Z 250cc Yamaha. Luke Scofield set the pace in the 125cc class and put his Reg Richardson and Gavin Mills backed R S 125cc Honda on pole.
Once the 12 lap race got underway Jim led from start to finish in a time of 10 minutes 26.58 seconds and a speed of 83.28 mph along with the fastest lap of the race. Thomas Lawlor and Bruce Dunn had a great dice for the final podium places. In the closing stages they were joined by Simon Hunt on his TZ 250cc Yamaha who with just three laps to go passed Bruce Dunn for third place. Sean Morrison finished in fifth place overall and was first N G Cup rider and followed across the line by James Seath in second place and Travis Vince in third. Luke Scofield put in another great ride on his RS 125 Honda and had a great dice with Jack Worth also on a RS 125cc Honda. Jack Worth took the victory by just 0.38 of a second from Luke Scofield with Dean Hodson in third place.
Jim Hind again dominated the second race and made it two wins from two starts the dice for second and third was between Bruce Dunn and Simon Hunt. Hunt had second place on lap six out of nine but Bruce Dunn made his move in the closing stages and crossed the line in second place and Simon Hunt in third. Ian Perks took victory in the N G Cup class on his Honda R S 250cc machine. Tavis Vince and James Seath had a race long dice for second and third in this class , Tavis Vince crossed the line in second place and James Seath in third place. Luke Scofield and Jack Worth had a great dice for the race victory in the 125cc National championship as the pair lapped as one and in the closing stages Luke Scofield took victory from Jack Worth by just 0.013 of a second and Dean Hodson in third place.
Jim Hind made it three from three as he took the victory in his final race of the weekend , Bruce Dunn finished in second and Thomas Lawlor got the better of Simon Hunt for the dice for the final step of the podium. The N G Cup class again had the same three dicing for the class win but this time it was Travis Vince who finished fifth place overall and won the N G Cup class by 1.51 seconds from Ian Perks and James Seath in third place. The 125cc National championship again had Luke Scofield and Jack Worth in another wheel to wheel dice for the race victory and this provided another close finish and Luke won by just 0.061 of a second from Jack Worth with Tom Snow in third place.
