After a 2 year gap the Muntjac is finally back. Despite forest limitations a 15-mile lap has been prepared with the familiar 1.6 mile test adjacent to the start area and there’s a full house of 200 riders ready to do battle.
It’s the fifth and final round of the GH Motorcycles/Husqvarna ACU Eastern Championship. All eyes will be on Luke Parker who currently leads the championship class. He has a healthy lead from Ben Cole but must score more points to win the 2021 championship. There are a host of other riders from the east who will want to be mixing it at the top of the time sheets with Jay Morland, Ben Clark, Will Hughes and Jack Sheppard keen to maintain or improve their positions in the 2021 championship. There are lots of other contenders for top positions on the day, including former ACUE champion Jamie Roper, but they will all be challenged by the visitors. We’re delighted to welcome Steve Holcombe (former world enduro champion, finishing third in E3 in 2021 despite a number of injuries earlier in the season) and Alex Snow, (former top MX turned world enduro rider) to the event, and they are sure to display their speed and skill. As in previous years we have entries from MX riders including rising young stars Sam Nunn and Tom Grimshaw and the very experienced Lewis Tombs who will all be sure to make their presence felt at the sharp end.
There’s lots of interest in the expert class too with young Sudbury club riders Jake Roper just 4 points ahead of Joe Phillips. Both will be giving it their all to take the class win, but a strong expert field inc luding Shaun Leggett, Tom Sargent and Jack Austin will be trying to get in on the action.
Other tussles include Expert Vets which will see the battle continue between Darran Nicolaou and Paul Spurgeon and Clubman Vets will see Paul Belton and Jason Naruszewicz chasing for top spot.
