There have been five championship races to date, with round six at Ringmer Cancelled. The new round 6 will take place on Sunday the 22nd of August at Milton Malsor MX.
This event was a two day event incorporating the seventh and eighth round of the Nora MX Championship, and the fourth round of the British Quad Championship. It was hosted by the Nora MX team at the Little Silver Motocross Park set in the Devonshire countryside, close to the city of Exeter.
After the weather extremes we have been seeing, the weather was much kinder to us for this round, mostly dry but a few showers to keep the dust down.
This event was run with Quads only, and as usual there were six quad groups Pro / Pro Am, Clubman Elite / Masters A, Clubman / Masters B, Intermediates and Ladies, and finally 250cc Open and Air Cooled, 100cc Geared, and 50cc Auto, 100cc Auto.
In Race 1 of the Pro / Pro Am group, Dafydd Davies took an early lead holding the advantage throughout to take a great win. Oli Sansom held second until the final lap, but behind Mark McLernon was on a charge recovering from a slow start to blast ahead in the final few laps. Dean Dillon held fourth Alfie Walker was in great form with a good start and tucking into fifth. He was passed by Brother Harry at one point in the race, until he dropped back with problems.
Race 2 started with an early lead for Oli Sansom, but he slowed in lap one and then was completely missing by lap two. Behind Dean Dillon held second but the pressure from behind was strong with Dafydd Davies blasting into the lead, holding on for his second win of the day. Dean Dillon was on a charge fighting through with a few laps to go to take second, Jamie Morgan stuck close to him taking third with Mark McLernon back to fourth. Zak Orchard had a steady race to take fifth.
In the final Pro / Pro Am race of the day Mark McLernon took the lead from the start but there was a close battle he was challenged by Dafydd Davies who moved ahead at the halfway point. Jamie Morgan tucked into second with Dean Dillon third. Mark McLernon did well to hold fourth, just ahead of Jack Naylor.
At the end of day 1 Dafydd Davies took the overall win, but Mark McLernon still holds the NORA championship lead with 480 points, Dafydd Davies is behind on 456 with Dean Dillon on 412.
On Day two the Pro / Pro Am group was replaced by round four of the British Quad Championship. At the start of the day Mark McLernon was at the top of the championship with Dafydd Davies just twelve points behind. The rivals had a great day of racing with Mark McLernon holding the championship lead.
In Race 1 Mark McLernon lead the race from the start going on to take a brilliant win, Dafydd Davies pushed hard but settled for second ahead of, Harry Walker in third, with Dean Dillon a close fourth. There was a five-place penalty for Oli Sansom for jumping the start gate.
Mark McLernon’s winning streak continued into race two, Oliver Sansom blasted up into second with Jamie Morgan close behind. Harry Walker dropped back from second at the half-way point but held on for a great fourth please. Dafydd Davies took fifth, with a fantastic race from Dean Dillon who fought back from a bad start to take a well deserved sixth.
In the final British championship race of the day Dafydd Davies battled with Mark McLernon but fought through to take the lead, behind the competition was strong with Dafydd Davies, Oli Sansom, Dean Dillon having a three way battle for the win, with Harry Walker and Mark McLernon having a close fight for the fourth place. A great race to end a great weekend of Top Quad racing.

The Clubman Elite raced with the Masters A group, Race 1 started with an early lead for Luke Berlyn, who held the advantage throughout to take a great win. Behind George Oliver tucked into second but was challenged by Marcus Sprason who fought back from a slow start to take second on the final lap. Llestyn Rees took fourth.
In Race 2 Marcus Sprason didn’t leave anything to chance, taking an early lead and going onto take his first win of the day. Jordan Hickman battled through to take second just ahead of Llestyn Rees with Zak Beevers fourth.
In the final race of this group on day one, Marcus Sprason took a second great win, leading from start to finish. Dylan Mckenna fought through to take second. Luke Berlyn put his race 2 drama behind him to take a good third, with Zak Beevers fourth.
At the end of day one, Luke Berlyn held the championship lead with 520 point, and despite having a tough day Sonney Ward is still second with 429 points.
On day two Luke Berlyn, Marcus Sprason and Dylan Mckenna took a race win each with Dylan Mckenna taking the overall win on the day.
On day 1 of the Clubman / Masters B group, Will Mead had a good day taking one win and holding the championship lead with 438 points. Harry Koller also took a win and enough points to hold second with Luke Brown just one point behind on 399.
On day two Dan Shellard had two great wins and the overall win on the day, with Will Mead taking the win in the third race.
