For the first time since September 2019, the Woodbridge and DMCC will warmly welcome spectators back to the Blaxhall Circuit near Woodbridge for the Third Round of the Instanda / Stebbings ACU Eastern Motocross Championship.
The event will feature 200 riders competing in a 15-race programme that will see the ‘Fastest Forty riders contesting the Premier Class races with the points scored separately for both Expert and Junior grade riders. Alongside the Premier Class will be four support groups of riders providing plenty of close racing throughout the day.
Former National grade rider, Lewis Tombs, should start as the favourite having won 5 of the 6 Championship races so far this season but will have stiff opposition from Woodbridge club rider, Luke Benstead, and the Norfolk-based trio of Luke Parker, Declan Whittle, and Ben Cole. Top riders on the MX2 machine include Reece Martin, Josh Peters and Suffolk youngster, William Farrow.
Mixing it with the above Experts is Junior grade championship leader, Ryan Gardiner, and teenagers, Callum Murfitt, Archie Fisher and Bayliss Utting, who will all be trying to obtain grading points to upgrade to Expert status.
Essex based Ryan Gardiner is 15 points ahead of veteran Matt French in the Junior grade standings, with sixteen-year-old Callum Murfitt currently laying in third place.
Following the recent Government relaxation of the Covid restrictions, the Woodbridge club has been working on methods to reduce the requirement for cash payments when attending as a Spectator at Blaxhall. They have therefore invested in credit card readers allowing for Contactless payments to be taken up to the value of £45.
As a club, we will be encouraging Spectators to pay by Credit or Debit cards but, will still be allowing cash payments and ask all Spectators to arrive with the correct admission fee available at the venue.
All the action starts at 9:30 am with the first block of racing start straight after Practice. Admission prices are £10 for Adults and £5 for Unaccompanied Children with the Blaxhall Circuit being located using the postcode IP17 1LG.
