The ACU’s Trials and Enduro Committee are constantly monitoring the current pandemic and wish to announce the easing of restriction for sidecar trials, as from 1st August sidecar trials entries can be accepted as long as both driver and passenger reside in same household.
To clarify the organiser will need to submit names of both to ACU T & E Department mary@acu.org.uk for approval at least 10 days before the event and only after receiving confirmation can these entries be accepted. The basis of checking household residence will be via the current ACU licence/ Trials registration system and only the current address on system will be accepted. No one event licences will be acceptable.
This does not alter the situation regarding the ACU Wessex Plant Hire British Sidecar Championship and until the easing of social distancing no rounds of this series will take place, although the situation will be regularly monitored.
Organisers who do wish to include a sidecar class in their event must conform to following criteria
· The Supplementary Regulations must clearly state that any sidecar entries will strictly be restricted to riders/passengers from same household bubble.
· Such Residence will be confirmed via ACU licence system and only the address shown will be acceptable
· Once organiser receive an entry it is Provisional and details sent to ACU T & E Dept as outlined above
· If criteria is confirmed the organiser will be noted as soon as possible that the entry can be accepted in order for them to confirm with entrants
