The ACU has decided that a phased return of events (road race, moto-cross, trials, etc) will commence in parallel with the Government’s ‘Step Three’, co-inciding with the re-opening of remaining public places and leisure facilities. This is currently scheduled to begin from 4th July, a date which might change. That return itself will depend on the continuing support of the riders, officials and marshals and numerous health and safety factors, including most importantly the availability of our doctors and other medics.
2020 British F2 Sidecar Championship
With this in mind and many other factors regarding paddock space and social distancing issues surrounding the close knit sidecar community and following consultations with the ACU, Clubs the and a FSRA virtual committee meeting we therefore have sadly and regreteblly come to the decision to cancel the 2020 ACU/FSRA British F2 Sidecar Championship.
However, if racing commences at any point, I am sure many will be wanting to test and get in some track time, I have informed all the host clubs, and that if sidecar classes are included on their race schedule, they will support them.
The clubs could not operate without its NHS doctors, paramedics, and nurses, and this Coronavirus crisis has brought their ‘real lives’, their contribution to the public’s general well-being, We thank each and every one of them for their dedication at the current time.
Thank you for your support
