Day 4 of the ISDE and another rainy morning meant for a long day in the saddle for the Team GB riders. Following the same route as day 3 could assure for rough and ready tests and transfers. Today was a hard pill to swallow for Team GB as unfortunately Alex Snow has to retire with a mechanical and Dan Mundell out also with injury.
The Trophy Team day started brilliantly as after 4 tests Alex Snow was running 19th and Danny McCanney 4th, unfortunately on one of the transfers Alex had a mechanical and he couldn’t fix it and was forced to retire. Danny carried his form from the week to finish 4th on the day.
The Junior Squad also had an unfortunate day with top Runner Dan Mundell going out of the event with injury. Jed Etchells and Alex Walton had good days finishing 43rd and 49th.
Again in the Women’s Jane Daniels led the way for the Brits finishing a brilliant 2nd place. Rosie Rowett also had a good day and finished 10th, and Nieve Holmes finished 14th. The girls sit 3rd as a team.
