For the second year in a row, GTSA (currently based in Frittenden, Kent) have been deservedly awarded the Organisers of the Year Award for their superb British Masters Championships event.
After tireless track work over the last five years, the Dig Dog Lane venue has become one of the best racing circuits in the country, and it duly provided Britain’s best racers with a perfect playing field for 2019’s big British Masters event.
The club added an excellent Saturday evening disco (hosted by Matt Saul of Sauly’s Events), a well-thought-out layout to the venue, professionally organised catering facilities, and plenty of frills expected of a big Grasstrack event. But it was the on-track action which aptly stole the show.
Race after race after race of tremendous track racing action took place, with the eventual winners being awarded their trophies on a purpose-built podium, with Sauly’s Events once again providing the soundtrack to the attraction.
A huge congratulations to the members of GTSA, who followed up their impressive 2018 British Masters Qualifier with this showcase event. With the club due to run the British Masters Qualifier once again in 2020, we can only assume that the club will go from strength to strength from here.
It is worth noting that once again, the Track Racing Committee were spoilt for choices for this title, and the final decision was after much deliberation and debate. The whole track racing world looks forward to the 2020 season to see what our wonderful ladies and gentlemen of our many hardworking Grasstrack clubs create for the coming season.
