The final round of the 2019 Bickers Lifting / Stebbings Car Superstore ACU Eastern Motocross Championship will be staged by the Norwich Viking MCC at the iconic Cadders Hill circuit in Lyng, Norfolk on Sunday 13th October. Unfortunately, due to the appalling weather last weekend, the penultimate round of the series at Wakes Colne had to be cancelled. The experts rejoin the series after having to miss out at Wattisfield Hall because of a dates clash with the British Championship at Landrake.
Luke Benstead (GH Motorcycles Husqvarna) holds a 21-point advantage over Shaun Southgate (Herts MX Honda) who is a single point ahead of Lewis Tombs. Local rider, Declan Whittle (Lings Husqvarna) is a further 10 points back. Former champion Luke Parker riding a Kawasaki for Matt Pope Motorcycles, is making a rare appearance this year after concentrating on the European Enduro Championship. Ben Cole (GH Husqvarna) is another Lyng specialist who could spring a surprise result. Calum Mitchell and Josh Peters will be battling it out for the MX2 title
In the Juniors, Jack Youngs (Lings Husqvarna 350) leads the title hunt with Max Bickers (Lings Husqvarna 150) having moved into second place just 8 points adrift. 15-year-old Will Farrow (Southside MX KTM) is in third only a single point ahead of another local rider, Ryan Powley (Rad FMX Honda), who should score well on his home track. Don’t discount Matt French who scored maximum points last time out, Tomas Hardcastle or young Daniel Sultana from causing an upset or two during the day.
There is a full 15 race programme which is sure to provide some very fast, exciting racing. The organisers hope that spectators will stay behind to see the presentation to the 2019 Champions.
The post code for the track is NR9 5QZ, adults £10, children under 15 free. Qualification starts at 09:15 with the first race straight after practice at approximately 11:00.
