Bob McGregor Trials Academy at Totherick Quarry in Ayrshire Scotland was the venue for rounds 5 & 6 for A & B Youth and rounds 6 & 7 for C & D Youth in the 2019 ACU Belle Trailers British Youth Trials Championship.
After a dry start on Saturday morning rain as forecast arrived during the second lap and some scores began to increase by the end of the day although most competitors enjoyed the challenge of the slippery conditions.
Winners
A Class Jack Dance on a Gas Gas lost a total of 29 marks
B Class Harry Turner Gas Gas lost a total of 8 marks
C Class Standard wheel George Hemingway Beta UK lost a total of 6 marks
C Class Medium wheel Elliot Smith on the Oset 24.0 lost a total of 72 marks
D Class Medium wheel Connor Watson Beta 80 lost a total of 101 marks
D C Class Small wheel Irish visitor Mason Crawford Oset 20R lost a total of 60 marks
Sunday dawned cloudy skies but it held dry for most of the day. A Class competition was close finish between Reece Gazzard on a Birkett Scorpa & Jack Dance on a JST Gas Gas with Reece taking the win with 26 marks lost ahead of Jack on 29 marks lost.
Harry Turner Gas Gas 14 marks lost was again the winner in the B Class
George Hemingway Beta UK again lost 6 marks to win the C Class Standard wheel this securing the Championship title for 2019.
Isle of Man visitor Stanley Cubbon Beta took his second win in the series on 73 marks lost in the C Class Medium wheel.
Max Dance Gas Gas still retains the overall lead in D Class Medium wheel on 101 marks lost.
As the previous day Mason Crawford overcome the slippery conditions with 50 marks lost and now leads the D Class Small wheel championship.
The final round for all classes will be held on 25 August at Bracken Rocks held by Mansfield Maun Club.
