A full entry of 130 riders has been accepted for the GH Motorcycles and GB Finch evening motocross at Wattisfield Hall, Suffolk. From a spectators’ perspective this is one of the most popular motocross events of the year with a 12-race programme starting at 6pm and finishing at about 8.30pm with 2½ hours of non-stop action.
The Allcomers class includes some top MX expert riders such as Jake Nicholls - Buildbase 450 Honda, GH Motorcycles and GB Finch riders Luke Benstead, Ben Cole & Ryan Alison all riding Husqvarna’s, Shaun Southgate Herts MX, Honda, Luke Parker Gas Gas, and Sam Nunn and Jason Morland on Yamahas.
A full field of Enduro, Evo and Twin shock riders have also entered topped by riders such as Jamie Roper - Aim KTM, Chris Hockey - Gas Gas, Daniel Willis -Ranson Racing Honda and Sam Mitchell - Honda.
The track at Wattisfield is looking really good as it’s been deep cultivated and fully graded following the sidecar Clubman’s British Championship in May. The recent wet weather has also helped and unlike last year, it shouldn’t need too much watering. If it does, the pond is full. The additional loop put in for the May meeting has been slightly altered to make it flow better.
The club would like to say a special thanks GH Motorcycles and GB Finch who have been excellent supporters of club for many years, plus Clarkes of Walsham. Their involvement is greatly appreciated. Gavin Hockey, the owner of GH Motorcycles will have a stand on site so check out his products for a good deal.
The important thing to remember is to get there early to get a good parking space. Additional spectator parking is available at the top end of the pits in a new field set aside.
Admission is £8 for adults, and just £5 for senior citizens. Kids, if with an adult, gets free entry.
Enduro riders please note, lights to be taped up and side stand removed.
