The ACU are saddened to announce that the famous Midland Centre Trials
rider from the past,Johnny Brittain, passed away earlier this month.
Johnny was born in 1932 he rode for DMW and James before his long
association with Redditch Motorcycle Manufacturer Royal Enfield.
He won numerous National events including the Scottish Six Day and The
Scott Trial British Experts.
Johnny also competed in what was known as the International Six Day
Trial (now known as the International Six Days Enduro) for 15 consecutive
years winning an astonishing 13 Gold medals.
One of the highlights of his past few years has been to be the official
starter at the South Shropshire MCC -Vic Brittain Trial which was named after
his late father.
Johnny was fondly known by those who knew him as a real gentleman &
fantastic rider.
Johnny’s Funeral will be on
Monday 25th March at 11am at St Peters Church, Ellastone, Ashbourne DE62 2HB.
