The ACU are saddened to announce that John Cain sadly passed away on the afternoon of the 14th February 2019. John was a Clerk of the Course for the Aintree MCRC and was an important and very active member of the Committee. John worked very hard behind the scenes. The date for John’s funeral is Monday 4th March at 1.45pm at Howe Bridge Crematorium, Lovers Lane, Atherton M46 0PZ and afterwards at Westhoughton Cricket Club, St George’s Oval, Cappadocia Way, Westhoughton BL5 2GG. The family are asking for donations to British Heart Foundation in lieu of flowers. If anyone would like to contribute to this it can be done on the day or before/after through the Funeral Directors who are, Cowburns 1 King St, Westhoughton, Bolton BL5 3AX. The ACU send Christine and John’s family our deepest condolences.
