The ACU Trials and Enduro Committee are pleased to announce a new support structure for the ACU British ISDE Contingent.
Following the non-attendance of a British Contingent at the 2018 ISDE in Chile, the decision was taken to take a fundamental look at the support structure to ensure it is fit for purpose. A number of conversations have taken place with key logistics helpers at the 2017 ISDE, together with our top riders, and the decision has been taken to create a new position of ACU British ISDE Team Coordinator, responsible for the whole Team GB contingent.
A new Rider Manager will then be responsible for the Trophy and Junior teams, allowing them more autonomy and the ability to establish bespoke support over and above the Contingent support package. This person will be wholly dedicated towards GB’s top riders, with a wider support structure in place for the rest of the Team GB contingent, including club teams. This structure is pictured below.
The new structure includes a Paddock and Logistics Manager, together with assistant, alongside three check managers who will be responsible for the running of checks alongside club volunteers. The full Team GB support package will be confirmed to clubs who have submitted their club team applications by the 15
th December 2018.
The ACU Trials and Enduro Committee have also committed to a modest increase in ISDE funding, and together with a comprehensive support package, are confident that it will be possible to achieve the best possible result for Great Britain at the ISDE in Portugal 2019.
Volunteers are invited to express interest in any of the below positions and should be mindful that the 2019 ISDE takes place from 11
th-16
th November near Portimao, Portugal
