It is envisaged that there will be considerable interest from ACU Club teams wanting to enter the event next year in Portugal and likely that a maximum of 8 or 9 will be accepted by the organisers
As such the T&E Committee will be putting in place more stringent requirements when accepting expressions of interest from clubs to ensure that the necessary commitment is confirmed from the outset .
Would those ACU clubs who wish to be considered for entry to the 2019 ISDE therefore take note of the following_:
Expressions of interest to be sent to Mary Kerr
by 15th December accompanied by a bond of
£3,000 per club team and a Club Team Manager nomination form, available from ACU head office, countersigned by an official of the relevant centre .
No application will be considered if received after this date or if the £3,000 has not been paid.
In addition 25% of the 900 euro entry fee per rider- ie 675 euros per team (sterling rate to be confirmed ) will be required by the organisers by 15
th February
We will be setting a deadline for receipt of names of the riders who will be making up your teams in order to assess their suitability for entry . The main requirement will be that in the last 2 years the rider has demonstrated ability in the BEC Timecard Enduro Championship ( any class with the exception of Sportsman) FIME or FIM Enduro Championship.
All teams will be under an obligation to supply at least 2 full time Support Crew members or pay an additional fee (or forfeit any support from the British contingent ?)
If all the above conditions are met priority of acceptance will be given to the following -:
ARMY - 1 TEAM
SACU - 1 TEAMS
WALES 2 TEAMS –( should more than 2 teams apply from then the Welsh Federation will select the teams they wish to represent them)
