The third round of the Maxxis British sidecarcross championships takes place this weekend at the spectacular Dean Moor motocross park in Cumbria hosted by the Iveston & Satley MCC.
All the top sidecar crews are entered but defending champions, Stuart Brown / Joe Millard are doubtful after Stuart broke his wrist at the recent Grand Prix in Germany. He has been having treatment in Holland and hopes to be fit for Sunday but at the time of writing this was not certain. Their main rivals Brett Wilkinson / Dan Chamberlain will be trying their hardest to close the twelve point gap and if they can get the starts maybe overturn the lead. Also in the running for a podium finish are the newly crowned AMCA champions Paul Pelling / Chris Pannell.
Not far behind now is the Irish driver Gary Moulds who is partnered by his last year’s passenger Steve Kirwin. They are currently a further twenty five points further back.
Leading the Experts class after the first two rounds are Scott Balsillie / Josh Haynes who are twenty two points ahead of second placed Shane and Paul Horton.
Practice starts at 09.15 with the first race of the day due off the line at 10.15
Admission for spectators is £10 with OAPs and kids £5. Camping is available at the track for £10 per vehicle. The track can be found due west of Keswick and the nearest postcode is CA14 4RH.
