Japanese organisation General Incorporated Association CSA, have confirmed that they are to provide a Championship Ring for the main race winners on Southern 100 Championship Day, Thursday 12th July 2018.
The winners of the feature races of the
Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Southern 100 International Road Races, the
Hunt’s Motorcycles Solo Championship and the
Darryl Blake Construction Sidecar Championship races will each receive one of the especially designed Championship Rings, handmade by Japanese Jewellery Designer
Natsuki Soutome.
In addition to the winners of the two championship races, the winners of
S & S Motors 600cc Race; the
Island Aggregates Senior Race; the
Ocean Village 650/250cc Race and the
Isle of Man Steam Packet Company 400/125cc Race will each receive one of the rings – making seven in total being presented on the day.
The
General Incorporated Association CSA have already announced that they are providing a total of 32 specially struck Sterling Silver 925 medals over the three road races which are held annually over the
Colas Billown Course.
Southern 100 Chairman, George Peach said:
‘We are absolutely overwhelmed by the generosity shown by CSA in providing these unique medals and rings designed for the Southern 100 Racing organisation. ‘I am sure the winners will be delighted to receive such a special award for the success they have achieved racing at our meetings this year.’
