The Wirral Hundred club’s season starts with a triple-header at Anglesey on 24th & 25
th March.
Saturday is twofold. Firstly there is a Test Day open to all ACU and MCUI road race licence-holders; the Club is keen to point out that riders testing on Saturday are not obliged to enter the race meeting on Sunday, and vice versa, and that in the past riders committed to British or national championships have taken this opportunity for additional weekend track-time ahead of the first rounds of their respective championships.
Secondly on Saturday, the club is organising an ACU New Riders’ Course for potential racers seeking their first ACU licence, and for riders intending to restart racing after an absence of five years or more. Those wishing to attend this Course should contact Paul Brandon as soon as possible on 01244 950922.
Sunday sees the first rounds of the club’s 2018 Championships, catering for Powerbikes (both pre-and post-2008), Formula 600, 100-500cc Allcomers, 650 Twins, Pre-Injection, Golden Era, Forgotten Era, Classic Bikes and Open Sidecars.
The Club’s second meeting of the year is its annual visit to Oulton Park on Saturday 28
th April, when in addition to its normal classes, it will include the David Swallow Memorial Race for single-cylinder 4-stroke Classic machines and play host to rounds of the FSRA Pre-injection Sidecar Championship and the Earlystocks Championship.
Regulations and entry forms for all of the 2018 race meetings can now be downloaded from the Club’s website www.wirral100.co.uk.
