The Southern 100 Marshals Association are holding a training and DVD night on Monday 02 October in the Civic Hall in Castletown, starting at 07.30 pm prompt.
All Marshal’s and Officials are welcome.
The evening will start with a discussion and demonstration on recent problems encountered with driver extrication from type LCR sidecars.
The LCR design incorporates a body shell contoured to suit the driver profile and is therefore snug and can lead to difficulties in the event of an incident.
St. John medical personnel will be using a demonstration unit to show best practice in removing a driver in an unfortunate situation.
The demonstration unit is provided by
Dave Molyneux with our grateful thanks, and we hope Dave will be present on the night.
A short demonstration on operational course flags will follow.
Following the training segment, the 2017 Southern 100 DVD will be played and you are welcome to bring along your own drinks.
The 2017 DVD will be offered for sale on the night at a special price making an ideal souvenir of this year’s racing and a better Christmas stocking filler than socks and handkerchiefs!
