ACU GB ISDE WORLD TROPHY TEAM:
Nathan Watson
Brad Freeman
Lea Sealey
Fraser Flockhart
Josh Gotts:
“I’m gutted to have to pull out of the ISDE due to an ongoing injury which requires surgery early next week and won’t be recovered in time for the Six Days. Good luck to Fraser and to the rest of the team, and thank you to everyone who was helping me with the Six Days this year and to my sponsors who’ve helped me along my journey the whole way!“
Fraser Flockhart:
“I feel for Josh having to pull out due to injury, he is a good friend of mine and it’s never good seeing someone missing out on something like this due to injury. However, I am delighted that I can step up to fill his position and it truly is a dream come true to represent Great Britain in the world trophy team in what is the pinnacle of our sport. This is my third ISDE so I know what to expect and I’ll aim to have a solid week, achieve a gold medal and make a strong contribution to the team. I would also like to thank Dusty for giving me this opportunity as well as everybody who has supported me and to those who have taken the time to wish me well leading up to the event which is starting in just over three weeks.” ACU GB ISDE Team Manager, Dusty Martin: “It’s in the nature of sport that injuries come up from time to time. It’s a shame to see Josh out, he’s been in excellent form and would have performed well. It is, though, always a joy to be able to offer a new rider an opportunity such as this, to ride for his country. I trust Fraser will enjoy the experience and given his previous experience I’m sure he’ll do well in the role.”
