The European EMX300 Motocross Championship Presented by FMF Racing took place over the weekend for the final round of the season. Going into the event British rider Brad Anderson was looking to secure the European 300cc Motocross Championship and held a 21 point advantage.
In the opening race of the weekend it was Brit James Dunn who took the victory on his GL12 KTM, in front of Dutch team mate Mike Kras and series leader Brad Anderson on the Verde KTM after recovering from a first corner crash.
After losing a couple of points to Kras in the first race Anderson just had to finish the second race inside the top 15 to be crowned 2017 EMX300 Presented by FMF Champion.
Race 2 was going perfect for Kras as he led Kenny Vandueren for the first 5 laps but just after crossing the finish jump on to start lap 6 his bike gave up on him. Vandueren then took the lead for a lap before Race 1 winner James Dunn took it away. The rider on a mission however was championship leader Brad Anderson who started 6th but worked his way onto the back of Dunn and passed him for the race win and claimed the title of 2017 EMX300 Presented by FMF Racing Champion.
The overall result saw Dunn take the win over Anderson, Vandueren, but it was Anderson who was celebrating the title after a long season.
