After a break of nearly 3 months the 2017 ACU – Wessex Plant Hire Sidecar Trial Championship resumes with a double header on the 5/6th August.
The West of England Club will be running the Andy Cheeseman Trial on Saturday 5
th August, starting at 10am from The Rising Sun, Woodland, Nr. Ashburton, Devon.
Then BSSA (Wessex) will be staging the Tuck/Cross Trophy Trial the following day, Sunday 6
th August, starting at 10am at Elmington Manor Farm, Compton Greenfield, Bristol.
Both events have all the top Championship Contenders from all four classes entered, in the Expert Class local favourites Jon Tuck/Matt Sparkes and Josh/Luke Golding are expected to give current champions Nigel Crellin/Chris Molyneaux a run for their money on home turf.
In the Intermediate Class William Caine/Beth Thomas will be out to continue their winning streak, but they will be pushed by Tony Jones/Jamie Howe and locals Dave Tuck/Joe Newman.
The Clubman Class will see Damien Owen/Gaz Temple looking for another win but expect them to be pushed hard by father and daughter pairing Nigel/Gracie May Scott and Paul Fishlock/Debbie Merrell.
The Newcomers Class will see the battle continue between Ollie Lace/Ealish Baxter and Matt Bond/Aleyn Taggert and Chris Newsham/Sam Atherton.
With five rounds completed and seven still to go, it is still wide open in every class, so expect two very competitive events in the West Country.
