Frittenden & DMCC proudly presents the2017 'Battle Of Britain' at their usual venue of Sandhurst Bridge, Farm, Frittenden, Kent. Sat Nav is TN17 2ED. (The Sat Nav will take you to the farm and not the field, so please follow the yellow grasstrack signs)
There are 7 classes, 4 solo & 3 sidecar classes making up a 47 race programme, with the day concluding with fantastic 6 lap finals!
Frittenden plays host to top riders from both the world of Speedway and Grasstrack, including Rye House Rockets star Edward Kennett, Eastbourne Eagles duo Mark Baseby & Charley Powell, and Kings Lynn Young Stars Connor Locke.
Top Grasstrack riders in the Right Hand Sidecars include multi-masters champions Mark Cossar/Carl Blyth, former masters Champion Paul Whitelam with new passenger Bradley Steer, and former double champion Colin Blackbourn/Carl Pugh. In the solos we have spectacular youth champion Charlie Brooks competing in the 250cc solo class, newly crowned British Upright Champion Bob Dolman, 250cc Solo Champion Jed Collins competing in the 500cc Solo class, plus former 250 & 350 solo British Champion Harland Cook also competing in a tough looking 500cc solo class. In the Left Hand Sidecars, we have double British Champions Will Penfold/Ricky Pay & former British Champions Martin Cuff/Colin Clark. For anyone wishing to camp which is FREE across the weekend, are able to do so from Midday Friday 26th May-Midday Monday 29th May, with fresh water on site. Hot Food, Ice cream van, face-painting and a beer tent will be on site from Sunday and will stay open until late. So come down and make a weekend of it!
