The Wirral Hundred club’s season starts with a triple-header at Anglesey on 25th & 26
th March.
Saturday is twofold. Firstly there is a Test Day open to all ACU and MCUI road race licence-holders; the Club is keen to point out that riders testing on Saturday are not obliged to enter the race meeting on Sunday, and vice versa, and that in the past riders committed to British or national championships have taken this opportunity for additional weekend testing ahead of the first rounds of their respective championships.
Secondly on Saturday, the club is organising an ACU New Riders’ Course for potential racers seeking their first ACU licence, and for riders intending to restart racing after an absence of five years or more. Those wishing to attend this Course should contact Margaret Dewsnap as soon as possible on 01244 813127.
Sunday sees the first rounds of the club’s 2017 Championships, catering for pre-and post-2008 Powerbikes, Formula 600, 100-500cc Allcomers, 650 Twins, Pre-Injection, Golden Era, Forgotten Era, Classic Bikes and Open Sidecars.
The Club’s second meeting of the year is its annual visit to Oulton Park on Saturday 22
nd April, when in addition to its normal classes, it will play host to rounds of the FSRA F350, Post Classic & Pre-injection Sidecar Championship and the Earlystocks Championship; the meeting also includes the David Swallow Memorial Race for single-cylinder 4-stroke Classic machines.
Regulations and entry forms for all of the 2017 race meetings can be downloaded from the Club’s website www.wirral100.co.uk.
