As Paul Edmondson puts the finishing touches to the course for the opening round of the 2017 ACU Fast Eddy British Extreme Enduro Championship at Tong near Bradford, great news reaches us that the legendary Paul Bolton is fit and in the start line up. Eurotek will now have a very strong pairing with the last-minute news of another late entry by Eurotek boss Mark Jackson for David Knight, also representing Eurotek KTM.
In terms of rider numbers the event is outstanding while the quality of the Pro class line-up speaks for itself with Rockstar Husqvarna’s Extreme team duo of Graham Jarvis and Billy Bolt headlining alongside Husqvarna Factory Enduro Team rider Danny McCanney. The late inclusion of Knight and Bolton for KTM has certainly balanced the equation
This coming weekend also plays host to the first round of the FIM European Extreme Enduro Cup and as such has attracted quite an entry with overseas riders in the Pro class line up. Add to that the move by Richard Ely from D3 KTM to Edmondson Racing Beta Team and the Pro class certainly has plenty of muscle at this year’s event.
Fast Eddy has included much harder climbs but has made the course significantly wider in places to give riders a choice of lines at the tougher sections.
The course will be open for inspection on Saturday 14
th with two races running on Sunday 15
th, the afternoon Pro, Expert and Clubman race has always been a real draw for spectators and once again the Parkwood Offroad venue is expecting to be very busy from first light onwards on Sunday.
