ACU British Extreme Enduro final round - December 3-4th - With just over a month to go before the final round of the 2016 ACU British Extreme Enduro Championship Paul Edmondson has released his master plan for the whole weekend and if it’s value for money you are after and a new style format of extreme racing then this is the weekend for you.
Westwood, near Sheffield (postcode S75 3DL) is a terrific venue to host the weekend’s series of events and the extreme course promises to be something really special. Running just three weeks before Christmas Fast Eddy has excelled himself by offering a fantastic value for money weekend that will give everyone a chance to ride as much as they want and have a great time partying on Saturday night.
Saturday December 3
rd will see the ultimate Championship extreme race of the season run between 12 midday and 2.00pm. As usual there will be hard and easy routes open to all riders. The results of this race will go towards the BEEC series overall.
Following on at 5.00pm there will be a one-hour night race around a shortened course with many parts of the track floodlit to really add to the atmosphere. Fast Eddy has made this a stand-alone race and results will not be included as part of the main BEEC championship but if for riders who have entered the main daytime race, entry is free. Some riders may simply want to experience riding at night under floodlights and they can enter the evening race for £30 if they haven’t entered the main race. There is also a promise of prize money for the winners of the night race.
The awards ceremony will see trophies for the main race presented on Saturday evening in the marquee, which will have a bar, between 6.30-7.00pm. Then the partying begins.
Sunday December 4
th will see an extreme practice day at the venue, from 10.00am to 3.00pm, which is again free to anyone who has entered the main race of the weekend. For riders wishing to simply practice on Sunday the cost is £30.
The bottom line is, you can ride in all three events for £75 and that is fantastic value for money considering the high profile of the main event, which would normally be £75 to enter on its own! That’s extreme value!
The final announcement is that there is no spectator fee at this event! Fast Eddy must be feeling the Christmas spirit because he has decided to let everyone come and watch for free and Westwood is the perfect place to get around easily and see all the action.
If you haven’t already entered then now is the time to do it because there is a 100-rider limit on the Championship race and entries are already coming in strong.
Come and join the fun at Westwood and celebrate the grand finale of the 2016 Extreme season. This is definitely an event not to be missed. To enter call 01543 370070 or 07889 924560 or better still, download the entry form from the
