This year’s HydroGarden RHL Weston Beach Race, which takes place on 7-9 October 2016 on Weston-Super-Mare seafront, is set to be better than ever and competitors will receive a bumper pack of goodies just for taking part in this exciting event.
The annual race, which is in its 34th year, will be another special weekend with numerous attractions and displays throughout the three days, as well as racing action on both Saturday and Sunday. Well-known for being the maddest, baddest and toughest race on the off-road calendar, the Weston Beach Race sees hundreds of competitors battle it out over a mammoth dune course and is the ultimate test for man and machine.
The goodie bag that will be given to every competitor that signs on to race is filled with masses of gifts from HydroGarden, suppliers of equipment to the Hydroponics and Horticultural industry, and title sponsor of the Weston Beach Race. This includes a hand towel, water bottle, cap, mint tin, sunglasses and more. Off-road supplier experts Apico have provided every rider with a t-shirt, while a sample of WD40 is also in the goodie bag. Dunlop is giving away a lanyard to every rider, and an all-important bottle of water is included.
Rider registration and scrutineering begins on October 7 while the stars of tomorrow kick off race proceedings on Saturday 8th with the 125cc and 65cc youth classes, followed by the adult quad and sidecar race. On Sunday 9th of October the youth quad class and junior 85cc races take place before the adult solo race in the afternoon.
“We’re now into the final stages of our pre-event preparation and we’re as excited as ever for another great Weston Beach Race,” said RHL Activities Director, Gareth Hockey.
“It’s great that we’re able to give away some fantastic freebies to our riders thanks to the support of our sponsors, as it gives back something extra to those who compete in the race. We’ve got some more announcements to make over the next few weeks, and we’re really looking forward to seeing some familiar racing regulars, as well as first time beach racers, along with the fans who love watching the high-action competition on the seafront every year,” concluded Hockey.
