With the recent Welsh 2 Day Enduro providing the venue for the second and third rounds of the 2016 ACU British Classic Enduro Championships as the series has now passed the halfway stage. The Championship now prepares to head to the MWTRA Ltd organised Powys Enduro on the 14th August for the fourth round before heading to the final round on the 2nd October organised by Normandy MCC.
After three of the five round of the championship so far, it is the Classic Enduro1 Expert class that features the closest competition for the championship lead with the top four riders currently separated by just 7 points. Alun Jones currently leads the way on 37 points ahead of Julian Cook and Julian Crimp who are both tied on 35 points ahead of Ian Barnett in fourth on 30 points and Tom Knill in fifth. In the Classic Enduro2 Expert class David Brick currently leads Andy Elliott after claiming victory at both days of the Welsh 2 Day event.
In the clubman classes David Lewis currently has a strong lead in the Classic Enduro 1 Clubman class over Cefin Evans in second and Thomas Powell in third. Fourth and fifth places are currently held by Steven Finch and Martin Chapman. In the Classic Enduro2 Clubman class Alan Woods currently leads Cefin Evans and Jeremy Wilson.
