World and British Ladies Trials Champion Emma Bristow stormed the fourth event in the Acklams Beta Ladies and Girls Trials Championship at Dob Park on Sunday, cover the three woodland laps of the Washburn Valley for a mind blowing fourteen marks. Challenger Donna Fox trailed thirty nine marks behind the MRS Sherco Champion who posted a 7-1-6 score in the twelve sections. Jess Bown was ten down on Fox and seventeen ahead of JST front runner Katy Sunter who was competing for the last time as a Sunter, Miss Sunter becomes Mrs Thorpe next Saturday.
Beth Dunning won the Inter class where Belmont's Olivia Pearson was seventh. Olivia is ranked seventh with four events still to run. Alice Minta took her fourth Class B victory in a row at Dob but make no mistake Manx girl Ella Doherty is really moving. Amy Turpin and Molly Mayhew were placed seventh and eighth and scored championship points. They are ranked eighth and third respectively.
Kaylyn Adshead, another Manx threat, just managed to beat on-form Amelia Mayhew in Class C. That class is the youngest age group. Amelia missed the victory by a mere six penalties. Her ranking is now third.
The next event is at Bexley on July 7 then the North East Centre doubleheader at Long Framlington on August 6/7 with a finale at Southend on November 11.
