The first gate drop of the 2016 Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship supported by Pro Clean is just around the corner and for yet another year ACU Events are stoked to have Dave Thorpe’s ‘Dave Thorpe Honda Off-Road Centre’ onboard as the main supporter of the Maxxis ACU MXY2 class.
Dave Thorpe is one of Great Britain’s most successful Motocross riders with a total of four FIM Motocross World Championship titles in addition to his six British Championship titles to his name, and that doesn’t include his schoolboy and amateur level success. Dave has always given back to the sport whether it’s via coaching and developing young talent, managing teams both in the UK and at Grand Prix level, or teaching people with no riding experience but just a general interest in off-road motorcycling, his dedication to the sport is second to none.
As an extension to Dave’s love for off-road riding he created the Dave Thorpe Honda Off-Road Centre which is situated in Ynyswbwl, South Wales, an area known for its scenic views and awesome off-road motorcycling terrain. The Dave Thorpe Honda Off-Road Centre is a one-stop shop for anyone with an interest in off road motorcycling regardless of knowledge or ability. A wide variety of bikes and riding kit is available to the customers who will spend a day out riding with another British great, Stephen Sword. View their website

The MXY2 class is the ultimate stepping-stone into the premier series, Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship, and will now be referred to as the Maxxis ACU MXY2 Championship supported by Dave Thorpe Honda Off-Road Centre.
In addition to the Maxxis ACU MXY2 Championship supported by Dave Thorpe Honda Off-Road Centre, Dave’s
Honda Adventure Centre will also be a partner of the main championship Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship.
